Letzte Woche war ich in den Showroom der UK-Labels Coast, Warehouse und Oasis eingeladen. Obwohl die drei Marken doch recht verschieden sind, betreiben sie einen gemeinsamen Onlineshop. Am bekanntesten dürften euch wohl Warehouse und Oasis sein, und über Coast habe ich im Rahmen des Showroom-Besuchs auch noch einiges dazu gelernt. Heute habe ich einen kurzen Einblick für euch, was ihr im kommenden Winter von den drei Labels so erwarten könnt. Ich hoffe, die Eindrücke gefallen euch!
Last week I visited a showroom presenting the UK labels Coast, Warehouse and Oasis. These three brands have a shared online shop although they are truely different. You may know Warehouse and Oasis the best, and I learned much more about Coast during my visit in the showroom. Today I’ll show you what I discovered and what you could expect to wear in the next winter season. I hope you like these impressions!
COAST
Die Marke Coast existiert bereits seit 1996 und ist eher von einem eleganten, femininen Stil geprägt. Bouclé, Lurex, Rüschen, glänzende Stoffe und Spitze hinterlassen einen Eindruck von einer schicken Party-Garderobe, die sich aber größtenteils auch prima im Alltag tragen lässt. Farblich findet man viele Rot- und Lilatöne.
The brand coast already exists since 1996 and features a very elegant, feminine style. Bouclé, lurex, ruching, glossy fabrics and lace leave a mark of a classy party wardrobe, which can also easily be worn everyday. Main colors are red and purple.
WAREHOUSE
Warehouse hat mir persönlich am besten gefallen. Im Lookbook wurden die Teile mit dem Blumenmuster, also der Blazer mit der Hose im gleichen Muster und das Top mit dem eher helleren Blumenprint (Fotos siehe unten) zusammen kombiniert und auch wenn mir soviel Print normalerweise zuviel ist, fand ich den floralen Kick richtig toll. Auch andere auffällige Details sind vertreten: Tier- und Paisleyprints, auffällige Dekosteinchen, Nieten – mehr ist bei Warehouse hier teilweise mehr. Ansonsten findet man aber hier auch schlichtere Stücke, teilweise mit Karo-Muster, Leder- oder Military-Details, oder auch ganz schlichte schwarz-weiß Kombinationen.
Warehouse was my favorite out of the three labels. For the lookbook, the pieces with floral print were matched together and even if I don’t like that much print in one look, I loved the floral kick of this outfit. The label combined other prints, like animal or paisley, with decoration jewels, studs – seems like more is more at Warehouse next winter! Besides that, you’ll find some more restrained pieces like simple (but great!) black and white combinations, military and leather details or checks.
OASIS
Florale Muster, Animal Prints und pinke Farbtupfer stehen im Mittelpunkt der Kollektion. Im Winter erwarten uns außerdem Hahnentritt, Leder und auffallend hochgeschlossene Blusen im Tuxedo-Stil. Ist der Schößchen-Rock nicht bezaubernd? Farblich und stilistisch lassen sich die Teile also ganz gut mit Warehouse mischen.
Floral and animal prints are as well as pink spots of colour are the main part of the collection. Next winter, we’ll also wear houndstooth, leather and high-necked tuxedo-style blouses. The peplum skirt is so cute, isn’t it? You see: The pieces are quite good matchable with the items from Warehouse.
ACCESSOIRES
Zu guter Letzt gibt’s noch die passenden Accessoires dazu – die sind größtenteils von Coast.

Ich mag diese Art von Posts. Ich freue mich jedes Mal wie ein Schnitzel, wenn ich genug Material zusammengesammelt habe um einen ganzen Artikel daraus zu basteln. Ich kann auch nicht genau sagen, wieso – vielleicht ist meine kleine künstlerische Ader daran Schuld, die sich irre freut, sich mal wieder austoben zu dürfen: Es macht mir einfach riesigen Spaß, ein paar kleine Stillleben aus verschiedenen Accessoires und Dekoartikeln zusammenzurücken, auf die Farbgebung zu achten, das Ganze bis ins kleinste Detail so ausrichten wie es in meinem Kopf herumspukt und zu guter Letzt dann ablichten. Dabei lerne ich jedesmal dazu, vor allem aus photografischer Sicht. Okay, genug geschwafelt ;) Ich hoffe, die Photos gefallen euch!
I love this kind of posts. Everytime I collected enough stuff to create a new one, I am as pleased as Punch. I can’t exactly say why – maybe I should blame my creativity for freaking out now and then when it gets the opportunity to do something creative: It’s huge fun for me to assemble accessories and decoration items together, keep attention of the colors I choose and plan every detail to make it look like I had it in my mind. After this procedure there comes the more technical part: Photography. I’m still learning much with every photo I take and its such a pleasure when the result looks as you expected. But well, enough talking ;) I hope you like the pictures!

Magazine selection for my last holidays in Spain: H&M, Interview & TUSH Magazines
Das war übrigens das erste Mal, dass ich die Zeitschrift TUSH gekauft und komplett von vorne bis hinten durchgelesen (oder sollte ich sagen verschlungen?) habe. Zuvor habe ich in dem Magazin immer nur durchgeblättert, dann aber wieder zurückgelegt. Ich kann also nur von dieser Ausgabe sprechen, aber was ich gesehen habe, gefiel mir sehr gut: Die Zeitschrift fällt in jeder Hinsicht ein kleines bisschen aus der Reihe und erfrischt mit Neuem. Seien es verschiedene verwendete Papierarten, der Schreibstil mancher Autoren oder die Individualität der Fotoshootings – mir gefällt’s. Mal was anderes als Elle oder Vogue. Ich glaube, darin werde ich noch öfter blättern.
By the way, this was the first time for me to buy the magazine TUSH and read it from the first to the last page. Before, I only flipped through the pages but put it pack in the shelve. I can only talk about this issue, but I liked everything in there: This magazines stands out due to its individuality. Maybe just little details, but they use two different kinds of paper which is quite unusual, I liked the spelling style of the authors and the differentness of the photo shootings. I think I’ll have a look at their next issue, too!

Das ist nun leider auch schon der letzte Blogeintrag mit Photos aus Mallorca. Ich bin aber zuversichtlich, dass sich der Regen nach über einer Woche auch hier nun endlich mal ausgeregnet hat und wir am Wochenende herrlichen Sonnenschein genießen können. Die Fotos entstanden am letzten Abend: Wie ich bereits erzählt hatte, mussten wir erst sehr spät am Abend wieder ins kalt-nasse Deutschland zurückfliegen und konnten so noch ein paar schöne Stunden am Strand verbringen. So ein Kurztrip für wenig Geld ist doch einfach nur zu empfehlen, wenn man ein paar Tage ausspannen und Sonne tanken möchte. Ich freu’ mich schon jetzt auf den nächsten Urlaub! Nun lasse ich aber Bilder sprechen.
This is already the last post including photos from Mallorca. But I am confident that we can enjoy again some sun this weekend after more than a week full of rain and low temperatures. These photos were taken at our last evening on the beautiful island: As I told you before, our flight back home was very late in the evening so we had the whole day to enjoy some nice hours at the beach. I think a short trip like this is the best possibilities to relax a bit and it wasn’t expensive at all. I’m looking already forward to our next holidays! Okay, enough text: Enjoy the pictures!

Bevor ich euch mit Fotos von unserer kleinen Fahrradtour von S’Arenal nach Palma am wunderschönen Fahrradweg entlang der Küste und dem anschließenden Spaziergang durch die Inselhauptstadt überhäufe, dachte ich, dass zuvor ein wenig Abwechslung nicht schaden könnte: Während unseres Radausflugs machten wir an einem Felsstrand Halt, den wir bereits bei unserem letzten Aufenthalt auf der Insel entdeckt hatten. Die Farbe des Wassers hat mich unglaublich fasziniert und so haben wir die Gelegenheit für ein kleines Outfit-Shooting genutzt. Die Klippen befinden sich etwa auf halben Wege nach Palma und eigneten sich daher auch prima für ein kleines Päuschen. Auf den Fotos sieht die ganze Geschichte wahrscheinlich dramatischer aus, als in der Realität: Ich befand mich nicht einmal einen halben Meter über dem Wasser. Wäre ich hineingeplumpst, wäre das allenfalls eine nette Erfrischung gewesen ;)
Before overwhelming you with photos taken on our bike tour along the coastline, starting in S’Arenal and ending in the island’s capital Palma, I thought some variety could be nice: During our last stay on the island, we had already discovered a nice place surrounded by rocks, directly at the sea. We decided to stop there for some rest as the location was approximately the half of our planned tour, and also thought this was the perfect location to take some photos. I think it looks much more dramatic on the pictures than in reality: Actually I was not even half a meter above the sea, and if I would have fallen down, it would have only been a nice refresher ;)

Eigentlich ist es schon seit Freitag fertig, aber die Fotos stammen vom Samstag – wie auch immer, hier sind offiziell die ersten Fotos von meinem selbstgenähten Kleid. Dann wäre jetzt nur noch einer der Stoffe übrig, die ich vor ein paar Monaten gekauft habe! Am verlängerten Wochenende wurden wir ja mit reichlich Sonne beschenkt und so habe ich viel Zeit draußen verbracht – unter anderem am Flüsschen, auf Blümchen-Foto-Safari (die Bilder zeige ich euch demnächst), auf dem Flohmarkt und mit einer kleinen Fahrradtour. Mein neues selbst genähtes Kleid durfte dann natürlich auch noch abgelichtet werden – et voilà!, hier ist es. Ich muss sagen, ich bin ganz verrückt nach diesem Print und freue mich schon darauf, noch mehr Looks damit zu kreieren. Diesmal haben wir uns ein wenig an Gegenlichtfotos versucht und ich mag das Ergebnis ziemlich. Die abendliche Sommerstimmung kommt doch wirklich gut rüber! Das erste Foto ganz oben ist übrigens etwas besonderes: Phil nimmt ja am Tamron-Extremtest teil und dies ist das Teilnahmebild für die zweite Aufgabe.
