MBFWS: Filippa K. S/S ’12 Fashion Week Stockholm

Direkt nach Kopenhagen ist der gesamte Modezirkus zur Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Stockholm umgezogen, wo momentan noch die Präsentationen für Spring/Summer 2012 stattfinden. Da ich schon desöfteren über Filippa K berichtet habe (zum Beispiel über die Show A/W 2011 und den Showroom in München), interessiert es vielleicht einige von euch, wie die neue Kollektion aussieht. Ich persönlich mag die Kleidung des schwedischen Labels sehr, deshalb habe ich mich auch dazu entschieden, über die gestrige Show zu schreiben, auch wenn ich selbst nicht anwesend war.

Directly after Copenhagen the whole fashion circus moved to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Stockholm, where at the moment the presentations for spring/summer 2011 are taking part. As I have written some articles about Filippa K in the past (e.g. about the last A/W 2011 show and the showroom in Munich), I thought it could be interesting for you to see the new collection. Personally, I like the designs of the swedish label, so I decided to show you some pictures of the current show even if I did not attended yesterday’s show by myself.

Farblich sind mir sofort das wunderschön leuchtende Blau und ein knalliges Rot ins Auge gestochen, ansonsten setzt Filippa K auf weiß, beige und grau. Interessant fand ich auch die grau-glitzernde Bluse. Sehr tragbare Muster und Farben, flatternde Stoffe, figurschmeichelnde Schnitte – was wünscht sich Frau mehr im Sommer? Im Grunde könnte man beinahe schon von “langweilig” sprechen, aber nur beinah. Ich würde fast alles tragen, und irgendwie passt diese Kollektion prima zu meinem momentanen Minimalismus-Schlichtheits-Stil. Meine Favoriten von der Show in Stockholm habe ich in diesem Artikel mal für euch zusammengestellt. Wie gefällt euch die Frühjahr/Sommer Kollektion für 2012?

The first thing that catched my eyes were the colors: This wonderful bright blue and the gaudy red are the main colors in this collection, apart from that Filippa K used white, beige and grey shades. A grey-silvery-shiny blouse also drew my interest. Very wearable patterns and colors, flowing fabrics, shape flattering – what more could a woman ask to wear in summer? Actually you can almost call this collection “boring”, but as I said, almost. I would wear nearly everything and somehow these clothes perfectly fit to my currently minimialism-simple-style. I assembled my favorites of the fashion show in Stockholm in this article.

Travel: Venice in October: Booked!

Auch wenn es bis dahin noch ein Weilchen hin ist, ich freue mich jetzt schon riesig: Mitte Oktober werden Phil und ich ein verlängertes Wochenende in Venedig verbringen. Tatsächlich war ich schon gefühlte 100 Male in Italien, aber noch kein einziges Mal hat es mich nach Venedig verschlagen, deshalb bin ich schon sehr gespannt und hoffe trotz Herbst auf schönes Wetter.

Even if it takes a while until October, I’m really looking forward to it by now: Phil and I will travel to Venice for a long weekend in the middle of October. Actually I’ve been in Italia about a hundred times but not a single day in Venice, so I just can’t wait to explore this wonderful city. I hope we’ll have a good weather despite we will travel during autumn.

Aber unter uns, ich glaube nicht, dass ich es noch so lange aushalte mit dem Wegfahren – ich hoffe, da ergibt sich in den nächsten Wochen noch etwas spontanes! :) Nur noch gut eine Woche, bis ich endlich mit meinen Prüfungen durch bin.

But honestly, just between us: I don’t think I can’t wait to make holidays that long, so maybe I’ll be away for a few days in the next weeks spontaneously? :) Just about one more week and I’ll be finally done with my exams.

Fashion Week Berlin: Video Ellen Eisemann Show S/S ’12

Irgendwie habe ich es trotz streikender Kamera doch noch geschafft, ein Video von der tollen Ellen Eisemann Show hinzubiegen. Pünktlich zu Beginn der Show lies sich nämlich meine Filmkamera nicht mehr starten – gut, es hätte schlimmer sein können, immerhin funktionierte die EOS 400D noch. Wie sich später herausstellte, war die Kamera wohl einfach nur ein wenig zickig, denn für die nächste Show funktionierte sie ganz unschuldig wieder einwandfrei. Oh weh. Doch wie ihr seht, konnte das Problem doch noch gelöst werden:

Somehow I made it to create this video of the Ellen Eisemann show despite my striking camcorder. Exactly on schedule this cam didn’t want to work right when the show started. Okay, it could have been even worse – at least my EOS 400D was working perfectly. As I discovered later, my cam had just in a bad mood, because for the next show it innocently was working again… Oh, no. But as you can see, somehow I fixed this problem:

Ich hatte mich schon fast damit abgefunden, kein bewegtes Bild von der Show produzieren zu können, doch die liebe Hannah stellte mir ihr mit dem Handy gefilmtes Material zur Verfügung, und in Kombination mit meinen Fotos habe ich jetzt ein Best-Of Filmchen geschnitten. Ich finde, das Problem mit dem Hochkantformat der Videos habe ich ganz gelungen gelöst. Wie gefällt es euch? Actually I resigned myself to not creating a movie of the show, but dear Hannah gave me her material she took with her cell phone camera! Combined with the photos I took I was able to produce this kind of best of film. I think I solved the problem with the upright format footage not too bad, what do you say? White Horizon

Ich habe heute nicht wirklich viel zu sagen, deshalb nur ein paar kurze Worte, bevor es endlich mal wieder massenhaft Fotos für euch gibt: Ich bin wirklich glücklich, jetzt mehr als die Hälfte meiner Prüfungen geschrieben zu haben und endlich, endlich mal wieder ein Outfit bloggen zu können. Phil und ich sind fast ein wenig aus der Übung gekommen, aber natürlich sind trotzdem einige gute Fotos entstanden. Seht selbst! :)

I don’t have that much to say today, so just a few words before showing you finally loads of new pictures: I am really happy to have written more than a half of my exams and so I’m finally able to create an outfit post! Phil and I seem to be a little rusty in taking photos, but of course there are many good ones. Have a look! :)

New in my closet: Mango Dress and Blouse

Schon seit Ewigkeiten suche ich nach einem weißen klassischen Kleid, das nicht aufträgt, nicht durchsichtig ist, einen schönen Schnitt hat und mir steht – bisher eine sehr erfolglose Suche. Bis ich dieses schicke Exemplar in der neuen Mango Kollektion erspäht habe! Ich musste natürlich sofort zuschlagen, vor allem weil es noch nicht einmal 40€ gekostet hat. Die süße Bluse wanderte dann noch gleich mit in die Einkaufstasche, wobei die Farbe in Echt ein wenig anders aussieht. Ich werde sobald wie möglich Outfitfotos machen – eigentlich hatte ich das für heute in zwischen meinen Lernplan gequetscht, aber der Regen hat mir einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Weißes Kleid + Regen war meiner Meinung nach keine gute Mischung…

It took me ages to find a white dress with a nice silhouette that suits me well and is not see-through at the same time. A really exhausting search – until I saw this chic model from the new Mango collection. Of course I had to buy it, mainly because it costed less then 40€. This cute blouse somehow made its way into my shopping basket as well, while the color is little different in reality. I will take outfit photos as soon as possible – actually I wanted to do an outfit shoot today, but the rain upset my plans – I thought a white dress and rain wouldn’t have been a good combination…
