In letzter Zeit werde ich immer öfter gefragt, ob es denn schon Neuigkeiten zur Fashion Week Munich gibt. Zu aller erst einmal solltet ihr wissen, dass sich das Datum geändert hat: Statt den Januar solltet ihr euch jetzt mal Donnerstag, den 16. Februar 2012 vormerken. Die “Lange Nacht der Mode“, wie sich die Veranstaltung jetzt nennt, findet an besagtem Datum ab 18 Uhr im Filmcasino München statt.

Unter anderem werden Marcel Ostertag, Sonja Kiefer und Tom Rebl eine Runway Show veranstalten und natürlich gibt es auch eine Aftershow Party. Bevor ich mich jetzt an Kommentaren nicht mehr retten kann – leider weiß ich auch nicht, wo und wann man Karten dafür bekommen kann. Bei News informiere ich euch natürlich sofort! I was asked so many times about news from Fashion Week Munich in the last weeks, so here we go: First, you should know that the date has changed: You now should mark February 16th in your calenders. The “Lange Nacht der Mode” (translated: “Long night of fashion”) takes places at 18.00 in the “Filmcasino München”.

Among others, Marcel Ostertag, Sonja Kiefer and Tom Rebl will present a runway show and of course there will also be an aftershow party. But before you write me thousands of comments now – unfortunately I don’t know yet where to get tickets for this event. But I’ll inform you here as soon as I know more details! Damit uns zu zweit hinter dem Fotografen-Zaun am roten Teppich nicht langweilig wurde, haben Phil und ich uns aufgeteilt: Während Phil sich mit den anderen anwesenden Medienvertretern in der vordersten Reihe um den besten Platz rangelte, stand ich ein wenig weiter hinten und habe mal ein paar Impressionen als Bewegtbild eingefangen. Leider, leider habe ich es uni- und arbeitstechnisch gestern nicht nach München zum Verkaufsstart der Versace für H&M Kollektion geschafft, aber eine liebe Freundin hat sich bereiterklärt, mal kurz beim H&M vorbeizuschlappen und ein paar Fotos für mich zu knipsen (danke – du bist die Beste!). Allem Anschein nach waren wohl auch sehr früh Leute da, um sich ein Bändchen abzugreifen, aber von einem großen Ansturm konnte zumindest am späten Vormittag keine Rede sein. Es lag wohl irgendwo zwischen Jimmy Choo (hysterisch schreiende Mädchen) und Lanvin (gähnende Leere). Scheinbar war ich nicht die einzige, der aus der Kollektion kaum etwas bis gar nichts gefallen hat – trifft eben einfach nicht meinen persönlichen Stil. Allerdings ist der Onlineshop ziemlich leergefegt. Wie sieht’s bei euch aus, habt ihr etwas ergattern können? Was habt ihr gekauft? Oder habt ihr euch auch “enthalten”?

Unfortunately I have to attend some university courses and my work yesterday so I didn’t have the chance to be in Munich for Versace for H&M, but a dear friend of mine took some photos for me (thanks, you’re the best!). It indeed seemed that some people have been waiting to get a shopping bracelet since 6am or earlier, but all in all no huge rush, at least not late in the morning. Must have been somewhere between Jimmy Choo (hysterical crying girls) and Lanvin (completely deserted). Apparently I was not the only one who disliked most of the things of this collection – just not my style. But I have to admit: Online, quite everything is sold out. What about you – did you have the chance to grab something? What did you buy? Or did you also stay at home today?

Am Samstag haben wir einen sehr lustigen Nachmittag mit vielen neuen Bekanntschaften und interessanten Gesprächen im Café Reitschule verbracht: Anlass war ein Bloggertreffen, bei dem es nicht nur ein paar schöne Wiedersehen gab, sondern bei dem ich auch viele liebe neue Mädels aus der Umgebung kennengelernt habe. Wir hatten viel Spaß und haben uns lange unterhalten. Ich hoffe, man sieht sich bald wieder!

What are your plans for November 17th? I expect a huge run and endless queues early in the morning and many people hoping to get their hands on their favorite pieces of the Donatella Versace for H&M collection. Since Jimmy Choo this is one of the most interesting collaborations in my opinion. Well, until now we didn’t have a real clue what to expect. But good news for those who are dying to see some pictures: Vogue Russia was playing spy and published some first looks (this is the link to Nitrolicious’ article)!

Liebe Madln, ein Zebra-Glitzer-Dirndl geht als traditionelle Tracht genauso wenig durch wie eines aus gländender Plastiktischdecke (schon gar nicht wenn diese pink-weiß-kariert ist) und eine kurze Leder-Hotpants zu Netzstrumpfhosen sieht auch aus, als hätte man sich eindeutig im Event geirrt.

Bei der Länge sind manche ein wenig kritisch – viele würden meine knapp knielangen Dirndl als zu kurz bezeichnen. Ich bin da etwas offenherziger, aber der Po sollte dann vielleicht doch komplett verdeckt werden… Ach und, die Kombi mit der Strickmütze und den Strickkniestrümpfen zu Gummistiefeln sollte man vielleicht auch nochmals überdenken (immerhin war es ja heute gut 25 Grad warm).

A dirndl (traditional dress) in glittering zebra fabric isn’t as traditional as one made of plastic (even worse if it’s pink-white) and if you wear leather hotpants with meshed tights someone might think you are at the wrong event. In terms of length some people are very sceptical. I’m a little more uncritical as my dirndl only are knee-length – but please, it should at least cover the whole bottom…

Oh, and maybe the girl who combined her dirndl with a woolen hat and woolen knee-high socks in rubber boots should maybe rethink her look (especially if it was 25 degrees today!). If you don’t wear anything of the mentioned looks you should probably have a nice stay at the Oktoberfest.

Dann steht einem modisch korrektem Wies’n-Besuch auch kaum mehr was im Weg. Soviele Modesünden gleich am ersten Tag – da muss ich doch unsere Touristen loben, die das teilweise besser mit der Tracht hinbekommen als unsere Einheimischen… Wo wir gerade dabei sind – wir haben doch tatsächlich zwei junge Damen in japanischer Tracht gesehen (wie authentisch, kann ich leider als Laie nicht beurteilen). Trotz meiner kritischen Worte sieht man doch größtenteils wunderschöne Wies’n-Outfits herumlaufen, und das in den unterschiedlichsten Varianten, Stilrichtungen und Farben. So, genug geplaudert – jetzt wünsch ich euch allen ein schönes Oktoberfest 2011. Zeigt doch mal, was ihr so getragen habt!

By the way, we spotted two japanese girls in their own traditional clothing too. They were looking really pretty. Despite my critical words I saw loads of wonderful looks today, in every shape, style and color. I hope you’ll have a good time at this year’s Oktoberfest. Feel free to show me what you were wearing!

The last weekend was really exciting: After the wedding from my Cousin on Saturday, on Sunday Morning we went to the hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich, while we had the most beautiful summer weather. The occasion: In a showroom in the ballroom next to Marcel Ostertag also the Swiss label Asandri presented again its current collection. The two designers, Alexandra Pfister and Stefan Wiedmer, had already presented their Spring/Summer 2012 clothes during Fashion Week Berlin not only on the runway but also in the showroom at Hotel Adlon. This time Alexandra Pfister agreed to answer me a few questions for a short interview.

We talked about fashion generally, the label Asandri itself and the working process before them being able to present a whole collection and we also discussed a little about fashion cities and Fashion Weeks in Germany. I know that the interview is in German, but I hope you like it though It was my first interview and I think it turned out really good.
